Offer : Senior WordPress Developer, Stanford Law School

JOB PURPOSE:

Stanford Law School (SLS) is looking for a full-stack WordPress developer to join the Web Team in the Office of Communications and Public Relations, reporting to the Associate Director of Online Communications & Identity.

Who we are
The SLS WebTeam designs, develops, and maintains the law school website, and also creates multimedia and interactive Web projects. We are a small team that supports a very large website with hundreds of content editors. We launched our completely redesigned website a few years ago. But as you know, new websites are never done! There’s always room for improvement: UX enhancements, feature requests, upgrades, and content strategy. We’ve spent our time since then adding new features and making sure that everything stays up-to-date and our internal clients are happy.

You are
Someone who likes a creative challenge and thinks anything is possible – it’s just a matter of figuring things out. You are passionate about all things WordPress and have strong knowledge of object-oriented programming. You enjoy converting beautiful designs into responsive user interfaces that are standards-compliant and optimized for usability, accessibility and SEO. You have strong project management, problem-solving, and analytical thinking skills. You’re flexible and are familiar with the agile development workflow.

You’ll be responsible for planning and implementing technical solutions that help the Stanford Law community and improve the user experience of the Stanford Law School website. You’ll leverage existing features provided by the WordPress ecosystem as well as contribute your own unique features to a robust, enterprise-level website.

Technically, you’re able to quickly synthesize complex design and functionality requirements and implement solutions that account for usability, accessibility, security, and maintainability.
