I run a travel blog / info site called nemoguides.com. For the past few years I have been quite inactive with it, and neglected the WP, theme and plugin updates (bad, I know)… So, about a year (or 2…) ago, I noted that the homepage redirects to malicious sites, and of course after a while google dropped the site out of search results. And I lost the little income I have from it.
I host with WPEngine, and they have been very kindly to clean the site time to time, when I have had the time to try to fix it. But the hacker keeps coming back. There are many outdated items on the site starting from the theme, which I updated to the latest, but too many things didn’t work after, so reverted back to the old.
In short, I would need someone to help to first get rid of the hacker (I wish that was possible), or at least clean the site, and build a good enough protection, and help to rebuild the site so that all the elements would be functional again.
