We are looking for a WordPress developer who can help us fix our website’s home page and our general page-builder maneuvering. For context, we recently moved from Squarespace to WordPress. We worked with a WP developer to develop the site. My team wants to make adjustments to how the site looks (especially the home page) but we are no longer working with the developer. In the long run, I would love the following things:
Macro Changes
- Remove the Toolset currently present in our WordPress interface and incorporate a new page builder which is more intuitive and user-friendly
- Clean files from hardcoding
- Create new Custom Post Types (that are added throughout the Toolset)
- Adding/incorporation of page builder, which is more intuitive and user-friendly or new theme
- Creating and building the pages, archive files, etc… with the page builder according to the website design
Changes to the Homepage
- Light up a colors bit ( gold, white, blue)
- Add a video background
- Change the featured news section ( add featured image, excerpt and ‘read more’ or ‘learn more’ button ) and put it as a second section
- Add a parallax effect on one or two of the sections (example: https://www.aiynetwork.org/)
- Change a story on every page refresh (example: https://homeboyindustries.org/)
- Add a donate section on every page (example: https://homeboyindustries.org/)
Changes to other pages
- About/Team – add team members (example: https://bailproject.org/team/)
- Contact – add a subject input field for the contact form
- Shopify – check if the domain name can be shop.antirecidivism.org
- Library like on the https://bailproject.org/newsroom/
This position is a project that I would like to see to completion. My timeline is negotiable but I would like to move as quickly as possible.
