Position Overview
The overall goal of the IT Lead is to take ownership of IT projects, serving as primary developer in both frontend and backend (advanced level), and manage those projects from concept to completion. The IT Lead also provides insight into new technologies and development methodologies, assists with defining standards around company coding and security, and helps operate our Support team. This position may involve managing a small team. Requirements include:
- Advanced-level experience with WordPress, PHP, JavaScript (ES6/ES2015 a huge plus), MySQL, HTML5, and CSS3
- Advanced-level experience WordPress custom themes & plugins
- Advanced-level knowledge of DNS and REST APIs
- Solid foundational knowledge Node.js and asynchronous JavaScript coding (callbacks, promises, event loop, etc)
- Solid foundational knowledge of responsive design (RWD), jQuery, regular expressions, and Git version control
- Experience with Ubuntu Linux, SSH/SCP, & web stack config
- Quick to respond and great with communication and customer service (must be available via IM/Chat and email during business hours)
- Disciplined coding and ability to follow specific guidelines and documentation
- Excellent communication, organization skills, and ability to lead others
- Natural ability to problem-solve
