Without are an award-winning brand design agency based in Farringdon. We work with some of the most exciting and progressive brands in London and across Europe, and we’re looking for WordPress developers and frontend developers to join our creative team.

The Job
+ Develop and optimise responsive websites and portals in WordPress
+ Actively own the whole development process
+ Closely cooperate with the designers, project managers, and QA
+ Manage updates and support on existing WordPress websites
+ Very occasional out-of hours incident support and troubleshooting
+ Potential for creative exploration – building custom tools to solve our client’s business challenges (data capture, membership interaction, booking management, digital brand experience)
What we’re looking for:
+ Experienced in PHP, HTML, CSS and JavaScript development, ideally with considerable experience working with complex WordPress projects
+ Commercial knowledge of WordPress including Gutenberg, developing bespoke themes and plugins.
+ A passion for crafting high quality responsive websites, and comfortable taking a project from design files to a robust working site and CMS.
+ A good understanding of version control using Git
+ Experience with site performance, speed analysis and optimisation
+ Experience with accessibility standards including WCAG 2.1
+ Knowledge of SEO best practice in front and backend build
+ Excellent communication skills, including experience working directly with clients and colleagues with different expertise
+ Exposure to web design tools for generating styled components (Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision).
Bonus/desirable skills:
+ Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as React
+ Experience integrating third-party APIs
+ Experience with other CMS solutions such as Shopify and SquareSpace
+ Automated testing and integration
