We have an immediate opening for an experienced Ecommerce Copywriter (Remote). This is a full-time, long-term position.

Job Responsibilities:
Content Creation and Management:
● Create emails, landing pages, product descriptions, category page content and more
● Use persuasive, error-free copy and in all written content
● Use ecommerce best-practices in writing, layout, and calls-to-action
● Design attractive graphics and edit images for use on the website, email marketing, and social media
● Create A/B split tests of design elements, to improve content performance
● Use SEO best-practices when creating content
● Maintain automated emails: add, update, and improve emails. Monitor and troubleshoot performance of automated email flows
● Edit, optimize, and publish blog articles that are written by our blog writers
● Perform basic HTML and CSS tweaks on published content to assure proper layout and styling
● Organize and label all design assets so they are easily accessible to the team
● Create, manage, and improve design templates and process documents
Marketing Campaign Management
· Create and manage all aspects of marketing campaigns (promotions, giveaways, surveys, new product launches)
· Create and thoroughly test email marketing campaigns, landing pages, and other assets for marketing campaigns
· Use Trello for management, tracking, and organization of marketing campaigns
· Monitor, measure, and communicate the success of marketing campaigns
Social Media
● Post daily to all company social media channels, using Buffer
● Youtube videos – Write descriptions, create thumbnail images, publish and monitor video performance
● Monitor and respond to social media messages and comments
● Monitor and administer the company Facebook group
Measurement and reporting
● Monitor key marketing metrics using Google Analytics and other tools
● Create and maintain marketing reporting using Google Sheets
● Communicate progress and issues to the rest of the team
Other key responsibilities
● Assist in testing of website changes made by our developer
● Participate in 15-minute daily meeting (via google hangouts)
● Other duties and projects as needed
Required experience and skills:
● Excellent English copywriting ability – able to write persuasive, error-free copy
● Ecommerce Marketing – 3+ years of experience
● Email marketing – 3+ years of experience
● Basic design ability – able to create attractive page layouts and marketing graphics
● Basic HTML/CSS knowledge
● Basic SEO knowledge
Preferred experience and skills
● Firearms industry knowledge is a plus
● Formal training in Ecommerce marketing is a plus
● Conversion rate optimization (CRO) experience is a plus
● Long-form article writing experience is a plus
The ideal candidate will be:
● An excellent copywriter who is passionate about their work – you take pride in writing great copy that sells. You research thoroughly before writing, to understand the nuances of the project and write copy that resonates with the customer
● Proficient in ecommerce marketing – you understand how to design offers for ecommerce, using best-practices to create high-converting content. You’re able to create graphics and page layouts that drive sales.
● Detail-oriented, and able to move quickly when needed – you are detailed in your work and review of all of your work to assure there are no errors. You are able to meet deadlines while ensuring a high quality of work.
● A skilled problem solver – you will spend as much time as is needed to investigate a problem and find a solution.
Computer and Software Requirements and Systems Used
● Required: High-speed, reliable internet – minimum 5 MBPS – 10MBPS+ preferred
● Required: Backup location for work in the case of internet issues
● Required: Modern, up-to-date computer that can handle the tasks of the job
● Some of the software used for your job (provided by the employer): Google Docs, Google Sheets, Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Hangouts (video conferencing), Slack, Hubstaff, Photoshop, ActiveCampaign, Google Analytics
Work Hours:
● 8:30am to 4:30pm, Monday-Friday US Central Time (40 hours per week)
● Will use Hubstaff or similar tool to track hours and quality
