Successful candidates will have exceptional graphic design and web design experience. Familiarity with environmental sustainability concepts and/or topics related to waste prevention, composting, and recycling, and experience designing education and outreach materials for the public – all ages and a wide array of socioeconomic backgrounds – is preferred.
Responsibilities:
The contractor shall provide a Web and Graphic Designer that meets the following minimum
qualification:
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) and Microsoft Office
(Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Web Editing experience on a Content Management System (CMS) with understanding of
HTML
Attention to detail
Ability to work efficiently and effectively, to multi-task, and to handle last-minute
changes in a fast-paced environment
Proficient technological skills
Working hours: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Skills:
The Graphic Designer will perform, at minimum, the job duties listed below:
1. Develop graphics for digital and printed education and outreach materials to support waste
reduction and diversion goals. Communication channels include website, social media,
newsletters, e-Newsletters, brochures, promotional materials, mailers, flyers, infographics,
banners, plans, reports, t-shirts, signage, posters, case studies, and event advertisements.
2. Coordinate with Resource Recovery Division to develop social media content and website edits.
